Do not believe the Bible thumping, foaming at the mouth, MAGA idiots. ICE Is a US Government-funded domestic terrorism organization. We will have a reckoning for the pain and suffering we are causing needlessly. The Bible is not the standard for morality but I am pointing out verses that should make those that believe in Trump that they are wrong. They should be uncomfortable with their own hypocrisy.
Trump is the golden calf. He won’t even get that reference.
ICE is a terrorist organization and the private army of Trump. The fact that so many elected officials voted to fund it to higher levels than our own Marine Corp is astounding. They are inflicting terror on “others” right now but they will be used against you, too. A morality that is dependent on one man’s word alone is no morality at all. All authoritarian movements become circular firing squads. They are going after people unconnected to you and you are fine with it. You or someone you love will also fall out of line. We will pay for what we ignored. We will pay for what we allowed. It must end.
Talking heads love to point out that Trump got much less done in the first year of his second term than any of his predecessors. This is a self-soothing folly like a baby sucks its thumb. I argue the movement towards ICE as America’s national militarized police force amounts to more than any accomplishment of presidents past. He has made ICE his strong-arm. He is using it against undocumented people, legal residents, and US citizens alike. He can accomplish more with guns behind him and he can accomplish it uncontested by the weakling legislature and judiciary. They have abdicated their own congressional authority for fear of Trump’s wrath. They should be ashamed of their own impotence.
In 2016, when Ted Cruz at least pretended to have a spine, Ted warned on the Republican debate stage about exactly what we are seeing now. He warned against “government jackboots” going door to door. Today, Ted Cruz is silent as exactly what he warned is materializing. We deserve better representation.
NATO, Greenland, tariffs, trade wars: that’s the static. That is meaningless compared to what is being inflicted upon our country from within. Keep your eyes on the ball: ICE will destroy whatever is left of American democracy. ICE is our sin.
